Dog keeps tearing stuff up, mom doesn't care, what to do?

The dog is a female chihuahua. She's chewed up wires, shoes and the furniture. My mom doesn't care one little bit. The dog doesn't listen to me so I can't do anything about it. I've tried talking to my mom, but she dismisses what ever I tell her.
