Why arent black americans given the credit they deserve?

I am mixed I have a African and Arab Father and European Mother. I have been living in America for two years and most people I talk to never have anything good to say about Black Americans. I think Black Americans are goregeous people but have simply lost their soul and will to fight. If you are are wondering why I am not saying African American is simply because these people are NOT African They are american with Brown skin. From what I have learned in school Black Americans have built this contry but everytime I look on the news their is always something Bad about Black Americans. What are the white Americans doing they arent innocent. I am not t on anyones side but I just dont get it. I love everything about Black Americans but I think they need to find their soul and will again. So why is this.?
