Can you get a 3g pay as you go sim card for the iPad?

I would like to buy the 3g iPad but just wondering if there is a service where you can pay for data as you need it (pay as you go) rather than a rolling monthly contract. For example, like when you used to top up your mobile phone with �5 and �10 credit for example.
