Can you return things if you pay for it with a credit card?

my mom bought me an offbrand version of the Nook from sears. However, i noticed that a walmart not far from where i live sells the 'Nook' at the same price my mom bought it for. The only problem is that my mom payed for this thing with a credit card. Is there any way we could return the item, get our money back and possibly buy this thing at a different location?
