How do i stop spending money i havent got and get myself in �5000 and need help to sort it out?

mainly on credit cards and overdraft with my bank. Credit cards keep putting interest on each month and it never seems to go down. I have just recently cut up my cards so now cant spend anymore but i just keep paying my bills each month and never have any money left over. Anyone got any good tips in what to do please.
