PAP Smear & Period help ASAP!!!!!?

My periods are verry irregular i get them maybe 5 times a year and their sperodic. On saturday my doc told me I neec to start having pap & pelvic exams bc of my prevoius reproductive issues. I booked an appointment for Thursday at 9am. This is my first one and I take meds for super high anxiety. To make it worse, my period showed up late last night - of all times! So by thursday it should be done or just a drop here or there. Should I still go for the exam? Im so nervous already, im afraid rebooking would make my aniexty worse- espiecally if im only having a drop here and their. What should I do? Please help.......
